Chapter Services

  CLAIMS FILING
(Compensation and Pension)

Application must be filed.
Power of Attorney must be filed.
Medical Documentation is essential and should be submitted at time of filing.
A link to Service Connection is key to filing a good claim.
Service Connection = Compensation.
Non-Service Connected = Pension.

COMMUNITY REFERRALS

Housing Referrals (Serenity Adult and Family Shelters).
Mana.
Community Action.
Local Food Banks.

VETERANS RELIEF REFERRALS
(Governed by the RCW & Co. Policies)

When the need for financial help arises we can refer you to the county for possible help from the Veterans relief funds.  Needs that can arise are:
Rental Assistance.
Food Assistance.
Fuel Assistance.

WALK-INS

Walk-ins are welcome and Clients are welcome to file claims for Disability, Death Pension, Educational Benefits, or if you need a replacement copy of you DD 214 we can help.
If you have questions regarding benefits feel free to visit us between the hours of  10am and 2pm Monday thru Thursday and 10am to 12 noon on Fridays.

TRANSPORTATION
(DAV Van transports to VA medical facilities)

We offer transportation to and from the Seattle VA only.
With connections to American Lake from the Seattle VA.
Reservations should be made at least 72 hours in advance.
